XPPen unveiled its latest innovations in digital art technology with the launch of the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) series yesterday. This flagship lineup introduced two groundbreaking models: the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) 4K and the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) 165Hz. These displays are the first in the industry to earn Calman Verified status, setting a new benchmark for professional-grade colour calibration, offering creative professionals an elevated digital creation experience.
At the heart of this new range was the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) 4K, the first 4K Calman Verified 24-inch drawing display. Designed for digital artists seeking the highest level of colour accuracy, it featured a 23.8-inch Ultra HD screen that could display over a billion colours with exceptional precision. Boasting a colour coverage of 99% sRGB and Adobe RGB, along with 98% Display P3, it offered lifelike representation, making it an essential tool for illustrators and designers. Priced at £1,099, the 4K model positioned itself as a top-tier device for those demanding the utmost visual fidelity.
The second model in the lineup, the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) 165Hz, also made waves as the world’s first 165Hz Calman Verified 24-inch drawing display. Designed for dynamic, high-speed drawing tasks, this model was priced at £849. The display’s high refresh rate provided smooth, responsive visuals, ensuring quicker line rendering with up to 175% faster line speed compared to traditional 60Hz displays. This made it a highly effective tool for artists working in animation and other fast-paced creative industries.
Both displays were equipped with XPPen’s X3 Pro Series Styli, offering 16K pressure levels for increased precision and control. The series included the X3 Pro Slim Stylus and X3 Pro Smart Chip Stylus, both featuring programmable shortcuts for a personalised drawing experience. The stylus’s felt nibs mimicked the feel of pen-on-paper, while the silicone grip ensured comfort during extended drawing sessions.
The colour accuracy of both models was enhanced by the integration of X-Color Master technology, developed in collaboration with Calman, a leader in colour calibration solutions. Each display was factory-calibrated and verified to provide professional-level accuracy. Users also benefited from lifetime colour management services, ensuring consistent display performance over time.
As part of its premium design, the Artist Pro 24 (Gen 2) series won the prestigious 2024 Red Dot Design Award. Its “One Paper” edge-to-edge display featured AG Nano Etched and AF Coating glass, reducing glare and minimising fingerprints for a seamless drawing experience. The fully laminated display reduced the gap between the pen and cursor, while ergonomic features like the adjustable stand and accessories such as the ACK05 Shortcut Remote improved workflow efficiency.
XPPen’s commitment to advancing digital artistry was underscored by its continuous innovation. “This series set a new standard for digital drawing displays, offering artists unparalleled tools to explore their creativity,” said Amy Yuan, Marketing Director at XPPen.
