Autonomous security operations firm Torq has announced a major expansion into the EMEA region, opening its new headquarters in London and appointing Usman Gulfaraz as its Vice President of EMEA Sales. The move follows a year of significant growth, with the company reporting a 300% increase in revenue and a doubling of its workforce in 2024.
The expansion reflects growing enterprise demand for Torq’s security solutions, particularly its HyperSOC and Hyperautomation products, which have been widely adopted across North and South America and the Asia-Pacific region. The company’s recent $70 million Series C funding round, which brought total investment to $192 million, has further strengthened its position as a leader in AI-driven security automation.
Strategic Leadership Appointments
Gulfaraz, a veteran sales executive, joins Torq with extensive experience in scaling technology businesses. He previously led global revenue at Speechmatics and played a key role in the EMEA operations of Tessian and Shape Security, both of which were later acquired by Proofpoint and F5, respectively.
Torq has also appointed Jaicee Matthews as Head of EMEA Marketing. Matthews brings a wealth of experience from her time leading marketing teams at GTT, Edgio, and Lumen Technologies. Both Gulfaraz and Matthews will be based at Torq’s new London headquarters, while Sheldon Muir, the company’s Head of Global Channels and Alliances, will oversee the EMEA partner ecosystem from Torq’s global headquarters in New York.
Gulfaraz highlighted the strong demand for Torq’s technology across the region. “Organisations across EMEA have seen the impact of Torq’s AI-driven security solutions in transforming cybersecurity operations. With the introduction of our Agentic AI Multi-Agent Framework in 2024, businesses are eager to integrate these advanced capabilities into their own security strategies. Torq has redefined security automation, and as we expand, we are focused on continuing this momentum in 2025 and beyond.”
A Growing Customer and Partner Base
Torq’s technology is already in use by some of the world’s largest companies, including Check Point Security, Chipotle, Inditex (which owns Zara, Bershka, and Pull & Bear), Informatica, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, Siemens, Telefonica, Wiz, and the World Economic Forum.
Jonathan Fischbein, Chief Information Security Officer at Check Point, explained how Torq’s solutions enhance cybersecurity operations. “Torq HyperSOC investigates, triages, and remediates many of our internal security alerts without human intervention. If an alert meets certain security parameters, the platform takes automated steps such as initiating multi-factor authentication challenges or locking out suspicious users. This allows us to address threats before they escalate into serious security incidents.”
Torq is also strengthening its presence in EMEA through key partnerships. The company’s regional partner network now includes AdvanceSec, Bytes Software Services, Check Point, GlobalDots, Nubera, Nueva Group, Softcat, Tata Group, Wiz, and WWT.
Adam McCaig, Head of Security Strategy and Services at Bytes Software Services, praised the partnership: “Demand for Torq’s AI-driven security solutions continues to grow rapidly. By working together, we are helping enterprise security teams across EMEA become more proactive and efficient in mitigating critical security threats.”
As Torq continues its global expansion, the company has set an ambitious annual recurring revenue (ARR) target of $100 million by 2026, with a significant contribution expected from its growing EMEA operations.
