Video game commerce company Xsolla has announced the launch of the Journey of Indies (JOIN) Program, a new initiative aimed at supporting independent and mid-tier game developers across Latin America.
The programme, created in partnership with Institutio Conecta and Indie Hero, will provide developers with funding, mentorship, and commercialisation tools to help scale their businesses. It is also backed by a grant from the Secretariat of Science, Technology, and Innovation of the Federal District (SECTI-DF), which will fund a dedicated video game hub in Brasilia.
Speaking about the initiative, Xsolla’s Chief Strategy Officer Chris Hewish said: “LATAM is one of the most promising and rapidly growing regions for game development. By partnering with key industry players and investing in local talent, we’re committed to providing the necessary resources and knowledge to help developers turn their creative visions into successful businesses.”

Investing in LATAM’s gaming future
Latin America’s gaming industry has grown significantly in recent years, with an increasing number of developers seeking opportunities to bring their games to a global audience. However, many struggle with access to funding, business expertise, and the infrastructure needed for commercial success.
By launching the JOIN Program, Xsolla hopes to create a lasting impact on the region’s gaming ecosystem, supporting developers in turning their creative projects into viable businesses.
Applications for the programme are now open, and indie and mid-tier game studios across LATAM are encouraged to apply.
