Vismo, a provider of risk management and employee tracking solutions, has showcased its latest security technology at ASIS Europe 2025 in Dublin. The company demonstrated a range of tools designed to enhance workplace safety, including emergency response, travel security, and lone worker protection.
The firm’s Vismo Locate & Protect app, which runs on smartphones and tablets, was a key focus of the event. The app enables real-time location tracking, monitoring, and mass notifications, offering organisations a way to improve duty of care for employees working in high-risk environments. Additionally, it integrates with satellite devices, ensuring coverage in remote areas where mobile signals may be weak or unavailable.
New Satellite-Based Security Solutions
For the first time, Vismo presented its satellite-based security bundle for the Garmin inReach Messenger. The device was added to the company’s suite of satellite services in January and provides an enhanced level of security for employees operating in challenging conditions.
Speaking at the event, Colin Dale, Vismo’s Director of Global Sales, highlighted how the Garmin integration aligns with the conference theme of ‘From Risk to Resilience’.
“The Garmin inReach Messenger bundle includes our full employee security suite, designed to work seamlessly with the device,” he said. “As with all our satellite packages, it comes with the most appropriate and competitive airtime plans.”
Also on display at Vismo’s booth E11 was the ACR Bivy Stick, another satellite-based solution that, combined with Vismo’s location technology, aims to optimise employee safety.
Enhancing Workplace Security
Dale emphasised Vismo’s role in strengthening risk management strategies for organisations, stating that the company helps businesses stay ahead of emerging threats.
“We discussed best practices in risk mitigation, crisis response, and how real-time mass notification tools can enhance an organisation’s ability to protect its workforce,” he added.
Founded in 2012, Vismo works with FTSE 100, Fortune 500 companies, and NGOs to provide robust employee protection services. Its solutions cater to businesses operating in both urban and remote locations where additional security measures are necessary.
A Multi-Layered Approach to Safety
Vismo’s security ecosystem incorporates multiple protective layers for employees, contractors, and volunteers. The company’s app acts as a central hub, with additional security features integrated via a secure portal. These include:
- Mass notifications to alert employees of potential risks.
- Geofencing to monitor movement within predefined safe zones.
- Panic button response for immediate assistance.
- Accurate personnel location tracking in real-time.
- Intelligence alerts on threats to life and well-being.
Supporting Business Continuity
Vismo’s solutions are designed to support business continuity by helping organisations quickly identify and respond to threats.
“By proactively addressing risks, we help businesses build real resilience and ensure their employees remain safe,” Dale said.
